“BitTorrent is the name of a peer-to-peer (P2P) file distribution protocol, and is the name of a free software implementation of that protocol. The protocol was originally designed and created by programmer Bram Cohen. BitTorrent is designed to distribute large amounts of data widely without incurring the corresponding consumption in costly server and bandwidth resources.” (Source: Wikipedia)

The Annual D&AD Award winners are online. I thought this TV commercial campaign for TBS was particularly well thought out. Some nice ads from Aardman Animations, interactive TV from Modus and Spooks, while one of only four Black Pencils (Gold Award) went to Wieden + Kennedy with their Honda TV and cinema commercials. I also enjoyed the fun and fluid website design of PDK from Max Weber. Take a look around.

Not the official site for the project but links for the sound itself to avoid you the pain to read arty bullshit. Anyway 9 Beet Strecth is an art perfomance which consist of stretching the 9th symphony of Beethoven to a 24 hours long piece.
It’s done via granular synthesis which doesn’t affect the pitch so basically it sounds exactlly the same but it spans over 24 hours. Much more ear blowing than the last Prodigy, believe me.
